While dancing tango daily down in Buenos Aires, amid a so-called macho culture, for a year and a half, I often met interesting younger men (younger than my 57 years) who were clearly interested in more than dancing. I can vouch, from personal knowledge, that there's a whole parallel universe of women over fifty and sixty laughing their way to bed with young tangueros, old tangueros, even though the myth perpetuated by many in the tango scene is that you have to be young and beautiful to attract invitations to dance. Not true. Even before opening Joan's much-needed book, I knew from the title what rapture and bliss would be duly reflected in its pages.
